I JUST WALKED OUR DOG!
"For the first time in about a year, I just walked our dog around the block! For some people, that’s no big deal. But for anyone dealing with idiopathic peripheral neuropathy in their feet for more years than I care to count, it’s HUGE! It’s life-changing.
You may think that’s a little extreme. So let me fill you in. I started seeing Christine at Pellegrino Healing Center in Hyde Park for acupuncture around 2019 after exhausting every avenue of modern medicine I could find to help find the cause and relieve my neuropathy. Their office and staff create a calm, inviting atmosphere that immediately put me at ease (I have always hated needles and this was my last-ditch effort to find some relief). I was having really good results (feet not as painful, increased positive outlook, relief of stress, to name just a few)... until coronavirus had the world come to a screeching halt in March 2020. Acupuncture was not deemed essential at first, so I was unable to continue my therapy for 2 months. During that time, the progression of my neuropathy increased dramatically, my hot flashes were out of control and my quality of life suffered greatly. I may have been one of their first patients to rush back when acupuncture was cleared in May 2020.
Since then, I have taken advantage of almost every therapy offered. I have had therapy by all three of their acupuncturists (all are phenomenal!), laser light therapy to help heal my knees and feet, and today I had myofascial release therapy (with Chelsea) to help relieve the painful tension in my legs. I cannot put into words the elation I felt being able to walk like a “normal person” without pain for the first time in almost a year! I literally cried and put my arms around Christine and thanked her for everything her Center does for so many people. The first thing I did when I got home was take our dog for a walk, something I have been unable to do for a very long time. That was priceless! I know this will continue to be a work in progress, but I recommend Pellegrino Healing Center to everyone I know who has any kind of physical or mental health challenge."

I get emotional thinking of Christine, Pellegrino Healing Center, and all the beautiful people that have been on my journey. Saying I’m grateful and thankful doesn’t even seem like enough. I have such an attachment, gratitude, and love for Pellegrino Healing Center. I’ve been a part of Pellegrino Healing Center for almost 2 years. When I came to Christine I had little to no idea what acupuncture was really about, but I was in such physical pain and now I look back and realize I wasn’t doing well emotionally either because of the daily chronic pain. From the first consultation with Christine she could sense my aura and vibe were not good. However, the calming energy and reassurance she gave me was so comforting. Her “office” or “center” is more like a home. It’s so warm and welcoming...from the decor to the calmness and friendship within the office.
When I began my journey at Pellegrino Healing Center, I noticed how all the staff was so wonderfully pleasant, all smiles and willingness to help. I have been seeing Christine Pellegrino for over a year now for chronic back problems. I was skeptical of acupuncture and was reluctant to try it, but my doctor recommended Christine to help with my mobility and pain. The Center has really helped me manage my spine issues. It is exquisite to have Pellegrino Healing Center here in Hyde Park. Acupuncture at the center has been the most relaxing thing I have ever done.
