Cupping
Cupping is an ancient practice involving the use of glass cups placed directly onto the skin. The cup is first heated with fire or manually pumped to create a vacuum. The cups are then left on your skin for several minutes.
Benefits of cupping include:
-
The release of toxins such as calcium deposits and cellular debris.
-
Increased blood circulation & help move blood stagnation
-
Reduced pain and softened muscle tissue.
-
Released tissue adhesion
-
Increased flexibility.
-
Reduced inflammation.
-
Relieved mucus congestion in the lungs from respiratory conditions
The discoloration seen on the skin after a cupping session indicates the restoration of blood flow to the tissue that was previously experiencing sluggish blood circulation; this discoloration is not bruising.
You will notice a decrease in discoloration after multiple sessions.

Essential Oils- Aromatherapy
Essential oils have been around for thousands of years and are a powerful form of healing. They represent the jing, or the essence of plants, and have a long-drawn history in Chinese Medicine. Essential oil is lightly applied to an acupoint and held in place for a short amount of time. This technique may be combined with traditional acupuncture, as well as massage and some of our other healing treatments. The fragrance of an essential oil travels through the olfactory (nose) system to the limbic system, which is the part of the brain that controls emotions, memory, and the fight or flight response. Therefore aromatherapy can modulate brain hormones and messages sent to the hypothalamus and pituitary gland. These signals can result in changes in perception, cognition, mood, blood pressure, and even sleep patterns.

The gentle pulsating action provides quick relaxation and pain relief as the inaudible sound waves travel through the body to relax muscle spasms, increase circulation to injured tissue, and reduce swelling, pain and inflammation.
