Irlen Syndrome Screenings
Irlen Syndrome is a perceptual processing disorder that affects how the brain interprets visual information, especially light. It’s not an eye problem but can make reading, focusing, and daily activities more difficult.
Common symptoms include headaches, eye strain, light sensitivity, trouble tracking text, and poor depth perception. Words may blur, move, or fade on the page, causing frustration and fatigue. Take the self-test HERE.
Specialized screenings and filters (such as Irlen lenses) can help. Screenings are available with certified Irlen Diagnostician Char Scheuermann at 412-417-6243.
